Recently, I was asked how can we be assured in a Discipleship Making Movement that bad theology (heresy) won’t arise. Well, we can’t. But historically, infectious heresy has never come from people who are reading, learning and living the Word of God. Heresy always comes from the people with commentaries, and Hebrew and Greek reference books on their shelves. In other words, it is from the pulpit that heresy arises; not from the man/woman doing their best living the Word where they reside.

Churches don’t make disciples. A disciple makes disciples.  2 Timothy 2:2, “What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”
